A photographer's camera bag is home to some of the most important equipment. Over the years, my camera bag has evolved tremendously. When I first gained an interest in photography, in about sixth grade, my camera was a Kodak point and shoot and I carried it in a small bright pink pouch. My gear has since changed. The pink pouch turned into a Neewer camera backpack and the camera turned into a Canon EOS Rebel T5i. Hopefully, at some point in the future, I will be able to upgrade my camera body again. I have three lenses: a Canon 85mm f/1.8 (my favorite!), Canon 75mm-300mm f/4-5.6, and a Canon 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6. I like to have a variety of lens lengths when I shoot and will often switch my lenses out during sessions. While I tend to shoot in natural light more often, I still carry a Godox TT685 along with the Godox XProC wireless flash trigger for the times I need to control the light. I also carry a mini softbox and a hard light diffuser to attach to my flash when I need to diffuse the light. Something I recently bought was a Neewer 5 in 1 collapsible multi-disc light reflector. I find this really helpful during photoshoots because it is very portable, helps fix shadows, and comes with a gold, black, silver, white, and translucent reflector. And of course, I have many memory cards. Unfortunately, I learned this lesson the hard way when I brought one memory card on a travel photography shoot in Sydney, Australia and it ended up being corrupt and none of my photos saved. So I have at least 10 different memory cards in my bag at all times. My go-to memory card sizes are the SanDisk 32GB, SanDisk 64GB, and the SanDisk 128GB so I avoid running out of room on the memory cards. So next time you see me out and about with a large black backpack on my back, it is very likely that all of this gear is inside it! Camera gear is rapidly changing, so it will be exciting to see what comes out in the future.
